Two of the students—Jennifer Thompson and Victor-Alan Weeks—have been collaborating with members of the Hog Hammock community in order to create a space for community gardening. Their work has come to overlap with the aims of the Cornelia Walker Bailey Program as they seek to support the survival of coastal Georgia’s Geechee culture.
